Be the SQL Developer Where Queries Meet Responses
Job Description
Duties:
Database Design: Establish primary/foreign keys and constraints to guarantee data integrity; create and maintain database schemas, tables, and dictionaries.
Creating Complex Queries: To extract data for different application needs, use high-performance SQL scripts, views, and intricate joins.
Programmability: To automate tedious activities and enforce business logic, create and implement stored procedures, triggers, and user-defined functions (UDFs).
Performance tuning: Use appropriate indexing, query refactoring, and execution plan analysis to examine execution plans and optimize slow-running queries.
ETL Procedures: Create and manage packages for extracting, transforming, and loading data between different systems.
Data Migration: Create and implement
plans for moving data from outdated systems to more contemporary database systems.
Database Security: To safeguard sensitive data at the database level, control user access permissions and put security measures in place.
Focus Skills:
advanced knowledge of procedural extensions (PL/SQL, T-SQL) and SQL (Structured Query Language).
profound knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
familiarity with tools for performance tuning (SQL Profiler, Explain Plan).
strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and normalization (1NF, 2NF, and 3NF).
It is advantageous to be familiar with BI technologies like Tableau or Power BI.
