Drop in Drive for MEPS Civil Design Engineer
Job Description
Duties:
Structural and MEP Integration: To prevent "clashes," coordinate the design and installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the civil and structural framework.
Blueprint Review & Synchronization: Before construction starts, check architectural, structural, and MEPS drawings for uniformity and spot any possible design inconsistencies.
Site Supervision: Oversee on-site construction while making sure that conduits, MEP sleeves, and specialized structural supports are positioned correctly in accordance with integrated plans.
Load Calculation & Impact Analysis: Determine how heavy MEP equipment, such as water tanks, generators, and chillers, would affect the building's foundation and floor slabs structurally.
Utility
Infrastructure: Manage the external civil works associated with MEPS, including electrical substations, subterranean water tanks, and sewage treatment facilities (STP).
Focus Skills:
Technical Versatility: Expertise in structural analysis software (STAAD.Pro or ETAP), AutoCAD, and Revit (BIM).
Multidisciplinary Knowledge: Strong grasp of electrical distribution, fire safety, HVAC systems, and plumbing hydraulics.
Conflict Resolution: The capacity to resolve intricate geographical issues where service route is hampered by structural components.
Project management: Excellent ability to plan integrated projects so that MEP installations don't impede civil development.
