Roles and responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely sourcing of materials and services.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to establish strong vendor relationships.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production/operations to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and legal requirements.
Prepare reports on purchase orders, budgets, and supplier performance for management review.
Lead, mentor, and
manage the procurement team to achieve departmental goals.
Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
Collaborate with finance and operations teams to optimize procurement budgets and streamline processes.
Implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements in procurement operations.
Location: Chennai
Experience: 10 to 12 years
Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce, or a related field.
Salary: Above 80k per month
