Head of Purchasing – Lead, Negotiate, Deliver
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the procurement department, ensuring timely availability of materials, components, and services.
Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Identify, evaluate, and manage reliable suppliers and vendors.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
Monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions where necessary.
Collaborate with production, quality, and finance departments to streamline
procurement processes.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and supply chain processes.
Report to senior management on purchase budgets, cost savings, and vendor performance.
Location: Chennai
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 10 to 12 years
Salary: Above 85k per month
