Responsibilities:
Material Handling: Drive big crates and pallets across the facility using industrial vehicles.
Using the proper attachments, load and unload cargo from delivery vans, flatbed trucks, and shipping containers in a safe manner.
Inventory Placement: In accordance with the guidelines provided by the Warehouse Management System, stack and store materials in certain racks or floor locations.
Safety Inspections: Make sure the forklift is safe for use by performing daily pre-operational inspections.
Documentation: Use handheld scanners or manual logs to document movements and
check shipping orders against actual stock to verify correctness.
Warehouse Maintenance: To guarantee a safe route for equipment and people, keep the work space tidy and free of obstacles.
Battery/Fuel Management: Follow safety procedures when performing regular maintenance, such as recharging propane tanks or charging electric batteries.
Required Skills:
Machine Operation: Demonstrated expertise using a variety of forklift types in confined spaces or busy lanes.
Accurately estimating heights and distances to prevent collisions or dropped loads is known as spatial awareness.
Physical stamina is the capacity to lift up to 25 kg (50 lbs) by hand when necessary and to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Attention to Detail: Accurate inventory is maintained by carefully adhering to picking lists and label placement.
