Job Description
An organization's daily financial transactions are carried out by the Accounts Executive, a fundamental finance specialist. Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all financial records from processing invoices to reconciling bank statements is your main responsibility. As the "guardian of the ledger," you make sure that each credit and debit is appropriately classified and recorded. The ideal applicant is a numerically talented person who can maintain high integrity in a fast-paced setting and has a thorough understanding of financial software, taxes, and accounting concepts (GAAP/IFRS).
Responsibilities
General Ledger Maintenance: Keep track of all daily financial transactions, such as payments, revenues, and costs, making sure that the head-of-account classification is correct.
Accounts Payable (AP): Evaluate and handle vendor bills, confirm purchase orders (POs), and plan prompt payments while upholding positive vendor relations.
Accounts Receivable (AR): To maintain consistent cash flow, create and send customer bills, monitor aging reports, and pursue past-due payments.
Bank Reconciliation: Conduct routine "Bank Recs" to find and fix any discrepancies between the company's internal cash
records and bank statements.
Taxation & Compliance: Ensure that local tax rules are strictly followed by helping with the computation and submission of statutory returns, such as GST, TDS, VAT, or income tax.
Payroll processing: Work with HR to confirm employee attendance and deductions, guaranteeing precise and prompt wage payments.
Financial Reporting: Assist senior accountants in preparing monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements for management review.
Audit Support: Organize and provide necessary documentation and schedules for internal and external auditors during year-end or quarterly reviews.
Expense Management: Verify employee reimbursement claims against company policy and process valid payouts.
Skills:
Accounting Principles: Accrual-based financial systems and the "Golden Rules of Accounting" are thoroughly understood.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel and accounting ERPs.
The ability to spot minute differences in intricate financial data sets.
