Job Description
By monitoring, evaluating, and reporting financial data, the accountant is in charge of preserving the organization's financial stability. Managing the general ledger, creating financial statements, and making sure that all financial transactions are appropriately and legally documented are all part of this job. The ideal applicant is a meticulous expert with a solid understanding of accounting concepts who can handle complicated data and offer insights that aid in company decision-making.
Responsibilities
Financial Record Keeping: Keep accurate and current records of all financial transactions, including general ledger entries, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR).
Financial Reporting: Create the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss (P&L) Statement, and Cash Flow Statement on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Taxation & Compliance: Maintain adherence to local and federal financial
regulations and make sure that GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory returns are filed on time.
Audit Support: Make sure all financial records are audit-ready by creating schedules and documentation for both internal and external audits.
Forecasting and Budgeting: Help management create yearly budgets and keep an eye on differences between expected and actual financial performance.
Fixed Asset Management: Calculate depreciation in accordance with accepted accounting rules and keep the fixed asset register up to date.
Skills:
profound knowledge of IFRS or generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
competence with accounting programs like QuickBooks, SAP, or Tally ERP 9/Prime.
sophisticated Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas).
strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
