Study in UK Without IELTS - How to Study in the UK Without IELTS
IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System, which is a standardized language examination used by many universities throughout the world to assess the language abilities of international students. It is the most widely accepted and preferred English-language test for international students. However, if you are studying in the UK and do not wish to take the test, there are a few other options available to you. Read on to discover what your options are.
The most popular option for students who do not have IELTS scores is to study at an English-speaking university. The London Southbank University has a large range of courses and a pre-study English language course that allows students who
do not have IELTS scores to apply to their chosen programme. The English language course is free of charge and can be completed in as little as a week. The English language proficiency requirement is not the only one for study in the UK, however.
Although IELTS is a mandatory requirement for studying in the UK, some colleges and universities waive it for students with other qualifications. Some colleges and universities will interview you personally before deciding on your application. The interview may be conducted on the phone or through Skype, or it may take place at a research center. During the interview, the interviewers will evaluate your skills in English and may exclude IELTS if they are satisfied with your level. However, it is worth noting that UK degrees are recognized world-wide.
