You are the most vital person in our business. You will make the first impression on all guests when they walk in the door and the last impression when they leave. Your personality and smile are going to set the mood for each guests experience in our restaurant. We would like to consider our establishment to be a unique one and one that is immeasurable to all other restaurants. Your job in this position will be to make sure that a great impression is made on each and every one of our guests. We are only able to make one first impression, help us to make sure each one is our best.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1.) Represent Restaurant standards through appearance and a positive, cooperative attitude toward guests and fellow employees.

2.) Must greet all guests as they walk in the door.

3.) Ask how many people are in their party and be able to find appropriate seating for each party.

4.) Must seat all server sections equally and in order to the best of your ability.

5.) Must maintain a wait list of all guests and determine appropriate waiting times to tell the guests.

6.) Assist bussers to bus needed tables to ensure that our guests do not wait any longer than necessary.
7.) Help servers when front counter stand is not too busy.

8.) Do not leave the front counter area unless there

is someone to cover it or the manager allows it.

9.) Answer the phone in a courteous manner, according to telephone procedures.

10.) Ring in tickets accurately, remembering to include box charges on to go items.

11.) Take to go orders over the phone efficiently and promptly with attention to detail. Repeat them back to make sure that the order is correct.

12.) Check all to go orders for accuracy, include necessary utensils and condiments.

13.) Be knowledgeable regarding the menu and shift specials.

14.) Learn all menu items (portion sizes, presentation, how they are prepared), so that they can explain items to our guests.

15.) Make sure front counter is stocked before and after your shift.

16.) Wipe down all menus to ensure that they are clean before our guests receive them.
17.) Keep front counter area, host / hostess stand, and lobby clean and orderly at all times.

18.) Sweep outside and make sure there is no trash around any part of the establishment.

19.) Make sure that the bathrooms remain clean and stocked.

20.) Always help maintain the appearance of the restaurant. Clean whenever possible.

Experience:

●Previous restaurant experience is helpful but not necessary.

● Good communication skills are very important.
