We are seeking hands-on Audit Seniors and Tax Seniors for our progressive, award-winning public accounting firm client, located near Portland, Maine.
Audit Seniors are responsible for every aspect of the audit engagement including audit planning, risk assessment and audit procedures, and evaluation of evidence. Also, assist clients in preparation of their financial statements, note disclosures, and any required additional schedules.
Tax Seniors are responsible for working closely with one of the Tax Partners to provide all tax related client services, including tax preparation, projections, planning; maintenance of tax materials, technical review.
Both roles must have an understanding of financial reporting standards; experience working directly with clients; Excel, QuickBooks
and ProSystemfx Trial Balance and Engagement software skills; the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; and experience with governmental accounting, auditing, and software is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related disciplines is required and at least two years of relevant work experience. CPA license is strongly preferred.
